Week 7: Progress Report

I have made it through the holidays yet again.  Honestly, I was able to avoid most of the desert temptations that were thrown my way. I managed to keep clear of the brownies, ummm brownies.  I am very proud of that.  I did have a handful of Hershey kisses, and my big vice has to be Dunkin Donuts Hot Chocolate.  That's a once or twice a week thing.  Everyone deserves a treat once and a while.

I had a scare last Thursday.  I had a pain in my thigh and it had a hard lump. So I did some research and I had 4 symptoms of a blood clot.  I went to the doctor to get an opinion.  They took some blood and the results were negative for a clot.  He believes that I have a bacterial infection.  I went for a follow up today and happy to say the pain and discomfort has reduced. If there is one good thing for going to the doctor is that he told me my blood pressure has dropped considerably since my last appointment 6 months ago. I was in the 140's now I'm 124 systolic.  That's huge!!!!  He credits it all to the weight loss, and I tend to agree.

WINNING!!!!!

Ok it time for the report on where I stand after a big holiday week, and here it is.  I am up a 1/2 pound.  I would always like to lose something, but to break even this week is still a WIN for me.  Now I enter into the final week of 2016.  I am still in pursuit of my stretch goal of being 251# by Saturday.  I have my work cut out for me.  I will make it close.....
