My wife has seen great results so far losing more than 40 pounds over 90 days. This was done without exercising. Just a strict change of the diet. They promote a low or no carb diet. This is very similar to the Ketogenic diet. I have been very impressed with her consistency and determination to continue through towards her goal.
I looked at myself in the mirror. I was 281 pounds bouncing between that and 284. Things were tight fitting, and I decided that I need to try this and get behind it, before I get left behind.
Now I did not get hypnotized. I just found a really good why. I wanted to make the change to try and save our relationship. It has been strained for quite awhile, or be in good shape for the transition to single life. One of those two were going to happen. So I started like I did every other time I would diet and workout. Take some measurements and some photos of me and the scale for proof later on. I had started going back to the gym in the mornings, initially as a way to ease the pain of the mornings of a bad relationship. That was great motivation to get up at 4:30 and go each day. It sounds bad, but it was my WHY and was strong enough to make me go each day.
I had the gym on automatic now I was putting my focus on the diet. It is crazy to say, but I have never been able to lose any significant amount of weight in my life. I would lose 5 - 7 at the start. The water weight and fact of giving up soda for a while. I have never been any further. If I can get even some of the results that my wife is getting then that will be good. I did not want to start writing about another failed attempt at weight loss, so I held off.
I initially did a half ass approach to the diet, still eating carbs and the occasional sodas. This went on for just over a week, then I made the decision to change and follow the plan the way my wife does. I had managed to get to 177 pounds half assing That was on November 9th. I have stepped onto the path and never looked back.
Fast forward to today, I wanted to check the progress I have made. I was stunned. I weighed in at 267.5 pounds. I said to myself, I have said goodbye to the 270's and hello to the 260's. I looked back in my records and the last time I was in the 260's was 2012.
Holy crap!!!!!!! It's working!!!!!
