Well it has been quite a while since my last post. I am still in the game, just a little misguided. I took a week or two off, and then I contracted some kind of sickness. I think it is just a cold, but it has been with me for at least a week now. I am planning to go to the gym in the morning for the first time in a while. I hope the respiratory system can handle the cardio. It seems that I got sick after I stopped working out for a few weeks. Hmmmm... Go figure...
It has been a hard time re-adjusting to the variable work schedule, and the colder weather making it to the gym. I am doing my best to continue to make the time to get to the gym. I am still getting used to making my meals the night before. I will admit that fast food and soda has wiggled its way back into my diet. I have not been able to get my gallon of water a day in either. I am not allowed to have water at my workstation and most days are very busy. I guess I need to make a better effort to take those water breaks and just get it in. I know it will make me feel better.
I guess a good sign is that I have managed to maintain my weight throughout this layoff. I was down to 142 at one of the last weigh ins. I currently weigh 144. I am still keeping off the 15 pounds that I worked hard to lose. I am proud of that at least.
There are 15 days left until 2010. That is sooo crazy. I have great plans for 2010 that I will unveil on a later post.
Does anyone else have any goals they are setting for the new year?
That is all for now. I am still here and chipping away at my goal.

If its any consolation, Ive been having difficulties as well. Got me a ton of excuses too, don't feel good, sore, cold outside, holidays, etc etc. Im not the least bit worried though. My main goal is to have a lifetime of good health. Which means this thing never ends. Always reaching for that goal. If you fall off, get back on but you HAVE to get back on, the sooner the better. You've done amazing work Steve, remember the road behind you. Hopefully all of us who are a bit down trotten will get a lil boost come the New Year.
Goals for 2010, atleast 1 if not 2 more rounds of p90x. Run a dozen or so 5k's and I'd like to join a gym when Im finished with p90x. Either a fitness gym or a mma gym, not because I think Im a tough guy, actually a lil scared but its that fear plus the training looks extremely challenging that intriques me. Oh well, best of luck Steve...you've worked really hard, keep doin it brother.
144? wow, ur skinny...lol. This is the hard time, push through it!
Hey Steve. Proud of you for sticking with it, even when you were derailed with life and sickness. That's what shows your character. I know you'll get it all back on track soon.
As for the new year goals...I will be starting round 2 of P90X on Jan. 17. I will also be in another competition on this blogging site. I have my first 5K of 2010 on Mar 7. I will likely do another 5k in May. In the spring, I want to joing the local triathalon team...and begin training...I will be at goal by fall at which time I will be doing a half marathon. YIKES! I have HUGE fitness goals for 2010. Thanks for that question. I think I feel another post on MY blog coming on. :o)
Btw, what are your goals?
