Well I have finally done it!!!! I have made a decision and decided to act on it. I was so impressed with my little sister and her completing her first obstacle course race that I signed up for, not one but two of them. Yes, I made a decision and signed up for these two races on my own free will. I gave myself a fighting chance to succeed, they are spaced well enough in the future to allow me time to train.
I am so excited to finally do this. Now it time for the hard work. I have to get myself in shape to be able to do these races. I am not planning on competing, just finishing the first one at least. I have done some thinking and like any other training I need to get a baseline on my fitness level. I have a pretty good grasp on where I am but it will be good to get some numbers to compare during my journey.
