This week has been a low exercise week. I missed several workouts due to various reasons. My diet has been pretty good, but can always be better. I think the diet saved me this week though. I finally got it together yesterday. I made it to the gym and did a good cardio workout and then ran for 20 minutes. This morning I felt like it was part two of my last chance workout. I completed an hour of cardio on the elliptical at various resistance levels. When I was done the machine said that I burned 860 calories. I did all the cardio on an empty stomach. That's usually how I do my cardio i the morning. I only eat before a strength training workout. I have always had good results doing that. Well I guess the last chance workout paid off. I weighed in and I lost a pound. I know it's not huge, but considering the effort level for the entire week I'll take it. That's one pound closer to my goal. That's positive to me.I know a lot of people are not looking forward to next week because of the holiday and a weigh in right after. I, on the other hand, think that next week will be a great week for me. I welcome Thanksgiving. I understand my portion control and my calorie limit. Just another day, just another meal. If anyone asks I'll just say "18". That's how many pounds I've lost so far. Maybe I will spur some excitement and interest in other people changing their lives. That would be the perfect thanksgiving for me.
