Daily Update
Wake Up: 4:30
Total minutes of exercise: 80
Total Calories burned (Approx): 800
It is a great day today everyone. You know why? I choose to wake up at 4:30am and go workout. I have the opportunity to change not just my body, but my mind as well. I realize that the opportunities are endless, and you just have to grab hold of them and not let go until you get where you want to go.
OK, enough Tony Robbins type talk. This is the day before the end of week #2. I am looking for a number less than 253 this week. I feel very positive that it will be a good one. You know what I can't wait, so I'll be back in a minute..........................................................
3 minutes passes by....
OK, I am back. I had to go weigh myself. I have great news the magic number is 250 pounds. I am so excited. I achieved my goal for the week of a 2-3 pound loss. I am so close to the next stop on my journey. I have my one-way ticket on the STEVE TRAIN bound for 140'sville. I plan to arrive in the next day or so.
My eating plan has gone really well. I have been keeping to my allotted calories. I have even been coming in a little lower. I think I need to eat a little more to not come in below my minimum amount of 1800 calories. I got caught up with taking my son to the doctor for his physical. I came up short by dinner time. My only unplanned food intake was a half of sub sandwich for dinner. It was cheese steak with all the gooey fatty extras............. SIKE!!!! I made a smart choice in choosing the grilled chicken w/ lettuce, tomato, pickles, HOT peppers and very light mayo. It was not subway, so I had to get it on white but I did not care. I had so many calories to spare anyway and even if I went over a little I'm still in a 1200 calorie deficit. That is a very tasty sub with all the flavors. I would of loved the cheese steak sandwich, but that came with an express ticket back to 260ville. That place sucks. I don't look at this as a setback
I don't look at this as a setback, but a re-feed. I have been either below or right at plan for the whole week, my body needed to know it was not starving. I have been reading that this is a good thing to do once in a while. This entire process is a science experiment in progress. The big test will be tomorrow on the weigh-in.
I completed an hour and twenty minutes on the elliptical machine at a level 7. I wore my heart monitor this time instead of grabbing those stupid handles every time I want to know it. I am making a more concerted effort to say in the Fat Burning Zone of 110 - 147 BPM. I maintained an average of 130 BPM which is well within specs. I know that last weekend I was in the high 160's and wondered if that may have had anything to do with my weight change good or bad. I think I'll maintain the Fat Burn Zone for week #3 and see what I get out of it. Work in progress stuff, trial and error what works for me.
