Confused? Cause my muscles are.....

Monday I started a program of P90x. I decided that with 90 days left that I needed something that had built in intensity. Boy, does this have intensity. Monday I almost threw up. No really I almost did. The chest and back program is a lot of push ups and pull ups. I ran out of energy and my stomach got queasy. I have never felt like that working out EVER!! I did finish it on shear will power then I stepped out of the gym for some air. I think that I made a good choice going to this for the last 13 weeks. I am aiming for a cleaner diet, there have been quite a few slips. This is why I am staying at the same weight.

Tuesday had a cardio session of plyometrics. They call this the mother of all P90x workouts, and they were not kidding. I thought I was a rabbit I was jumping so much. Plyometrics is jump training to build explosive power, stamina, and agility. I made it through the entire session, but I had to modify the duration of each exercise. I modified from 30 sec to 20 seconds. I will work up to the full 30 seconds. Ten seconds doesn't seem like much but it is.

Today I woke up early at 5am and went to the gym for an early cardio session. I warmed up to 20 minutes on the elliptical and chased it to the treadmill with a test to see how far I could run in 12 minutes. I made it to 1.06 miles. Thatsa 12 minute mile. I am making progress. The Run for the Sun is coming along well, I am now on my way south on I-91 towards the Connecticut border. I followedall that up with an afternoon strength workout. Today was shoulders and arms. It was a quick 40 minutes, but very effective. No puking today. Tomorrow is Yoga. Yeah Steve doing yoga. We'll see how that works out. I'm not that flexable, but I'm willing to learn.

I have heard good things about p90x, keep it up, if you look at yourself everyday, it's hard to notice change, but I know people will start to notice, and you will too as you look at it over a longer stretch of time. Great job. keep moving forward.
