
Well I have stumbled, fell, and knocked myself out for nearly a week. When I finally woke up Obama was President. Not really, well all except the President Obama thing, that happened. He spoke really well, and gave a good speech. Now lets see if he walks the walk because he can talk the talk. O.K. Enough of the political soapbox. There is no place for it in weight loss. I am trying to limit the amount of unhealthy crap that I am putting in my body anyway. Unless of course he is offering a 20lb reduction stimulus package. Like a poker player, I'm all in.....LOL
Well I was very inspired by that part of his speech where he said, " In reaffirming greatness, we understand that it is never a given. It must be earned... Our journey has never been one of shortcuts or settling for less. It has not been a path for the faint hearted---for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures. Rather it has been the risk taker, the doers, the makers of things, some celebrated and most not that have carried us up the long path. " Not a perfect quote, but you got the jist.
In short, There's no easy way out.. Get off your butt and do some work and make a change in yourself. Hard work is the only way to make it happen.
This can be assimilated to weight loss. There are no quick fix pills, creams or medical procedures. it all takes hard work, determination, and consistency. This builds confidence and character to which there is no pill for and you cannot fake it.
Like I said before I have not posted for close to a week. There have been a few things that have happened. I measured up on Saturday, and found that the scale was the same but I lost an inch on the waist. That was the only victory of the weekend. On the bad side, I had a four day free day bonanza. I think that I ruined all the progress from the last week. Awww man...
It was Chinese, pizza, subs, fish and chips, ice cream sundae's. I don't want to look at the aftermath. It was like a bad car wreck.
I am putting them all in the Axis of Evil.... with Triglycerides. i am waging war in the Chinese, Italians, English, and whoever made the sundae I think if the travel channel serves me right, it was us the United States of Obesity. They are all in.
I have seen this before. There is a pattern that has shown its evil head. I must stay up beat and try to avoid the feelings. It is still there to eat bad. It is tough to change years of bad habits in one fowl swoop. It can be done I just need enough pressure. My father gave up smoking the day after his heart attack. Cold turkey after 20 years. It was his ultimate motivation. He also changed his diet 180 degrees. Craziest change I have ever seen....and all because he had the right positive pressure applied to him. He had a second chance, and knew what he did not want.
Well in closing, today IS in a way a new day. It is history too. A change has come for the country, but not for each of us. The time is now to decide to make a change for yourselves, and know why you want that change.. Take some time to reflect, and do something to better yourselves on this historic day of change.

DUDE!!! WTF are you doing?? A four day binge??? Get your head out of your @$$. You can get all the motivation you want to hear from people, but it's up to YOU to do it. That will inside has to be the opnly thing that drives you...When you feel tired.. go to the gym, sick..go to the gym, hungover..go to the gym...don't hesitate get up and go...you will start to crave it...like taking a dump in the morning, it will be automatic:-) Resist all the shitty food...pizza. chinese. icecream...WTF? Do you really want ot do this or are you kidding yourself...remember your the one who benefits the most....we want you around Mofo...so stop the f'n excuses and git r done, times a wastin...go now...i mean it...grab the keys...get out of the house....now!

I agree, Russ. If someone doesn't want it bad enough, there isn't anything in the world that anyone else can say to make them achieve it.
I don't know why you let yourself undo all the work you accomplish. Everytime you get close to the 10 pound mark, you have a few days of total chaos and erase everything you did. Chinese food and pizza ain't that fucking great. Neither is ice cream. And you can't blame it on the environment because ultimately... you are the one who has the choice to eat it or not.
You have to stop the B.S. Either you want to lose weight or you don't. If you just aren't into it, then quit. There is no reason to purposely beat yourself up over and over for not sticking with it if you have no intention to do it anyways. Shit or get off the pot.
Otherwise, stop being a turd and STOP MAKING EXCUSES. Try sticking with this for a change. The most pointless thing in life is to get all excited and gung-ho about something... only to slack off and give up a week or two into it. Freakin follow through, dude.
