New week and a change of plan Day 1

The new week is upon us and with it a new start. I have put all the distractions behind me and continued to move on. The extra week has been added to the program. I completed my workout today, and almost threw up. Sure did, sounds sick but came really close. These are the pitfalls to not taking in enough carbs prior to a rigorous exercise day. I went to the parking lot and had a banana and felt better in a few minutes.

I thought about it today and decided to abandon the P90X routine for now. I decided to change to to the Body for Life program. I am really familiar with the program. It is a little less intensive, and I think it will help me accomplish my goals considering the shape that I am in now. When I lose the 55 lbs I will consider doing a full round of P90X.

The Body for Life program, for those who are not familiar, is a structured program that incorporates weight training and cardio fitness. The weight training is three times a week Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The cardio sessions are 20 minutes of what ever you want as long as your heart rate is up. These are done Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Sunday is considered a FREE day. No exercise or diet plan followed on that day. I plan on doing a 12 week round of this. The diet is a little easier to follow. If you want some more info click on the link above, or just ask. Body for Life also has a fitness challenge they do every year. You do the 90 day challenge, and submit a before and after picture and an essay as to how the challenge has changed you. I will be entering this challenge for the first round of 2009.
