Boredom = workout opportunity

I finished dinner tonight and thought to myself, what can I do different that will put me closer to my goal. I usually just sit around and watch TV. I decided to go to the gym again. I figure that if I want to watch TV I might as well be on the elliptical. It was a good choice I think. I just completed a marathon cardio session. I ended up going for an hour and 25 minutes. I got back @ 10:15pm and took a shower. I was starving to say the least. I was scouring the cabinets for something to eat. I was on the verge of a binge. OH NO!! I tried to manage the craving the best that I could, so I made a protein shake w/ skim milk. I did however find the Hershey kisses. I had two. I need to head for bed before disaster strikes. Total today I managed to bang out 2 hours and 25 minutes of cardio with an estimated 1400 calories burned ( maybe a little less, but not by much). I managed to do very well with the nutrition side also. I stayed within my allotted amount of calories. I think it was a win today. I know I'm tired.

I like your mentality - what can I do different that will put me closer to my goal. GREAT question to ask yourself each day. And I must admit - 2 hershey kisses?! I'm impressed! So hard to stop at just two :)

Thanks for your comments on my blog - you're very motivational and I appreciate it. I'm going to be more careful with my portions because your'e right, I do have to eat very clean to notice a difference.
