Well today is my official first day of the challenge. I was already met with adversity. I was surprised this morning by a layer of ice which coated my car driveway and front stairs. I did not know this until I took the first step out the door and almost road the rest of them down on my butt. I was running a half hour late, and I was unable to get my vehicle out of the icy drive way. I have a small window of opportunity to make it in the morning and I missed it. So needless to say I was bummed at 5:30 this morning. So I decided to go to the gym this evening. I made it. Victory is mine!!! I posted a video of my official beginning stats and pictures today. I plan on doing weekly video updates, so that I can make a DVD at the end of the eighteen episodes to show my progress. Then I'll sell it on ebay. Just kidding..... I want something more to save from this than just photos. I have been doing this on my other blog since the beginning of December. I wanted to let people see me, and feel what I am saying. OH by the way it is really painful to go to the gym now. All the resolutioners are there taking up space, and everyone packs the place the first month then the herd thins by February. It was bad tonight. I knew there was a reason I liked to go in the morning. Hardly any people, its HEAVEN!!! I look at this as punishment for not going in the morning. I must put up with the resolutioners. Ahhh Adversity on the first day. Bright side I could of broken something this morning and been out of the game totally. Like the face then no more videos .

Is that fat smash? Well... nevermind. You ate steak. And turkey. And cheese. I got thrown off by the two bowls of chili. That's what I lived on for 9 days of Fat Smash. Because I don't have any books really to follow... I am going with a Fat Smash inspired diet.. but adding in the things that are "forbidden" like meats and cheese because I really want an even diet. You did good on Day One. It doesn't matter when you do it, as long as you get in that exercise. I'm proud of us both.
And just thought I would add... this time, it feels a lot different from when we did the $100 challenge before. I don't feel like I am competing AGAINST you. I feel like I am working WITH you... and that is WAY better than any other $100 challenge.
I'm really grateful that I have your blog to read. It's one thing to talk every now and then on the phone about this stuff. It is an entirely different thing to be so excited to see an update from you in my email every day. I know how hard it was to have no one when I went on this journey before. It was soooo TOUGH. The thing that got me through? Forums, just like on transformation.com It's WAY better to have you with me this time.
